Introduction/Purpose:
This lesson will evaluate prior knowledge of the learner on the subject of brain-based scientific data.
Learning Objective(s):
When given the tutorial pretest quiz the learner will assess prior knowledge of brain-based learning with at least 85% accuracy based on the ten brain-based multiple-choice questions in the quiz.
Teaching Timeline: One 30-minute period
Instructional Sequence/Activities:
Summative assessment:
Author, G. Conn, designed and created the pretest and posttest. The test is composed of ten key questions that the author carefully created based on key brain-based data. The tests cover the same material and the results of the pretest are used as a baseline to determine knowledge acquired by the learner at the end of the tutorial series. The author created the test by using survey software that records and emails learner answers and scores to the instructors’ e-mail address. This record will serve as an evaluation tool for the final summative assessment.
